"Reading Buddy"
Our "Reading Buddy" service is a community based intervention program intended to increase reading fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary in youth from Baltimore and the surrounding area. The intervention is not sponsored by any public school district, but is strongly grounded in the idea that reading truly does matter.
Youth who are part of the program will receive 15-20 minutes of individualized reading and/or writing practice at least three times a month. The intervention sessions will usually be one-on-one but rarely more than a 3-to-1 ratio.
These sessions will take place at an agreed upon time either in person at one of our several locations or virtually.
