Learn how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis. SpeakUp ReachOut is proud to offer Youth Mental Health First Aid in partnership with Eagle Valley Behavioral Health. This training will be presented by Molly Booker. This training will be held in-person. Youth Mental Health First Aid is designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis. Youth Mental Health First Aid is primarily designed for adults who regularly interact with young people. SpeakUp ReachOut is able to provide this course for free to participants via a grant specifically aimed towards training residents in Eagle County, Colorado in suicide prevention. As a result, we must first offer this course to Eagle County residents.
