Using the great outdoors and camping as backdrops for this year’s theme will make it a fun and adventurous week. Free Registration This year's theme of Plainfield UMC's Vacation Bible School is Serve Like Jesus. Using the great outdoors and camping as backdrops for this year’s theme will make it a fun and adventurous week. Bible stories will come alive as the children participate in projects for our community and around the world. Teaching children at a young age to serve others is one way to show them how to Serve like Jesus. We are making tie blankets, placemats, planting trees and flowers, and making cards and prayer rocks for our community. The children will correspond with children from Madina Village School in Sierra Leone with the help of Sandy Bennett. The week will end with a cookout lunch around a campfire.
