The Courtyard Series gives performers an opportunity to safely show off their talents in Colvin House's stunning courtyard Described as "anything but ordinary" by the Chicago Tribune, maeve & quinn is the duo of Alaskan twin sisters Maris and Bryce O'Tierney, multi-instrumentalists, songwriters, and composers. Classically trained (voice, guitar, violin, piano), maeve & quinn write and record music that fuses alt pop, rock, and folk influences. Currently based in Chicago, maeve & quinn have performed their music and poetry in concert with the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago, the Poetry Foundation, and Steppenwolf Theatre; premiered their symphonic compositions with the Chicago Composers Orchestra and Anchorage Symphony Orchestra; and collaborated with dancers for film works, most recently with Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre (watch music video "line of best fit"). Using QR codes, guests will be able to order right from their seats and have food delivered. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Helpful Info: Colvin House cannot provide parking onsite for this event. The first 20 cars can park free at George B. Swift Elementary school, just a block west of Colvin House. Please pull up to Colvin House's driveway gate (Thorndale Ave) first to receive a parking permit which will provide further instruction. For $12-$14, valet parking is also available at the Malibu Condominiums (6007 N Sheridan) public garage, just across the street, north of Colvin House. This parking can be validated by Colvin House for $2.00 off. We recommend arriving early if you need to park. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- +Masks are required for entry and whenever you're up from your table. +Seating is provided, but you are welcome to bring your own chair if you prefer. + Bring-Your-Own-Refreshment! Limited, non-alcoholic options will be available. You are welcome to enjoy your own beverages and food at your table. + This event is capped at 75 ticket-holders in compliance with current State of Illinois reopening guidelines. +Always check the weather before the evening of the event!
