Description
MEDFORD, MA — Massachusetts will lift all remaining COVID-19 restrictions, including the mask mandate, on May 29.
But Medford isn't taking any chances when it comes to students.
"Because so few of our students have been vaccinated, the MPS mask protocol will remain in place for the remainder of the school year," Superintendent Marice Edouard-Vincent said Friday.
Students are required to wear masks while attending school and participating in school-sponsored events, including athletics.
The Board of Health will host a vaccination clinic for students ages 12 and older on Tuesday, May 18 from 2:30-6 p.m.
