MCAS has also partnered with Lost Pet Services, Inc., a local nonprofit dedicated to reuniting lost pets with their families, to provide free microchips with on-site registration. Manatee Community Foundation provided funding to support this clinic, and future events this summer, so they could be free to the public, the county said.
Space is limited and appointments are required. Pet owners can register in advance online here.
All dogs attending the event must be non-aggressive and leashed. Meanwhile, cats must be in a secure carrier. All pet owners must show their driver's license or state-issued ID.
