Organized by Emmaus Global Outreach
Join us as we spend a day dialoguing about biblical principles for evangelism, and be equipped in simple tools and sacrificial rhythms for engaging the lost. Using the New Testament as our playbook, we will learn and be equipped with tools to help us imitate the examples of the early disciples in both Gospel precision and boldness. We will hear from several everyday, ordinary believers who are putting these tools and principles to work and by God’s grace are making disciples -- while working full-time jobs!
Required Pre-Training Homework:
Read Acts 17:1-9 and the letter of 1 Thessalonians. This Letter of Paul was most likely written from Corinth on Paul’s second missionary journey (Acts 15:36-18:22) shortly after the Thessalonians had first come to christ.
What was the content of Paul’s Gospel message when he reflects on how the Thessalonians came to Christ? In other words, what did Paul say and do to evangelize and disciple these new believers?
Bonus Study! (Not Required):
Read these extended messages or stories of Gospel Proclamation in the book of Acts. Ask these simple questions:
1. What are the similarities/differences in these different “sermons”?
2. What did the disciples say and do (“controllables”)?
3. What happened in response (“uncontrollables”)?
