Part-time, monthly gig offered with some flexibility to schedule your hours around your life. Looking for someone reliable and dependable who can work on Saturdays. We're a fast-growing ecommerce company that sells global spice blends. We need a part-time worker to custom blend our product from our recipes using our equipment. Work is labor intensive in a commercial kitchen environment. Expected shift is ~8-12 hrs per month but there's more work you can do from home available for those that want more hours. The 8-12 hours is typically done all in one day each month and includes drive time to drop finished product, which we pay for! We will guarantee you 1 shift per month going forward.. easy way to earn more $$! **Must have a large vehicle (e.g., pickup truck, minivan, SUV) to hold large boxes and plastic containers when picking up and dropping supplies. ** Typical tasks: load boxes/supplies in vehicle, move supplies on a rolling cart from car to inside commercial kitchen, measuring ingredients, using blending machines, washing equipment / utensils, light clean up (broom, wiping tables) **Ideally, you live in the East Bay or SF... kitchen is located near Lake Merritt and you will have to pickup supplies / drop off finished product in Vallejo after the shift (or the next day). We typically do shifts on Saturdays. Kitchen has 24 hour access** We pay for your active labor hours, and your driving time and mileage while picking up supplies and dropping off of finished product. If you have ever worked in a kitchen, that's a bonus! But no experience required... we will train you. Requirements: - must be able to accurately read a recipe and measure appropriate amount of spice using measuring cups - must have a van / truck / SUV/large crossover with enough room to carry boxes and supplies (regular cars / sedans won't have enough space) - must be willing to drive to pickup supplies and and drop finished product in Vallejo after shift - must be able / willing to lift heavy boxes (~40 lbs) into/out of vehicle and onto cart (essential duty) - must be authorized to work in USA - Must be able to *start* first shift on June 5th during business hours (~9-6p) (we need to train you during this first shift). We'll blend product together as on-the-job training and then you'll go drop off the product.
