This family-friendly walking tour will visit locations around downtown West Chester tied to the Underground Railroad.
The Underground Railroad was a network of people, African American as well as white, offering shelter and aid to enslaved people escaping from the South. This family-friendly walking tour will visit locations around downtown West Chester that played a part in these struggles toward freedom and equality. Admission fee is by donation--pay as you wish! (Please Note: due to the limitations of the Eventbrite software, tickets by donation can only be purchased one at a time. We are terribly sorry for this inconvenience! If you have a large family or group, please reach out to us at [email protected] and we can help you.)
Tour covers approximately 1.5 miles and lasts one hour. Pending updates from the Chester County Health Department, masks will be required at all times and social distancing will be enforced. Tour is entirely outdoors; sidewalks and terrain may be uneven. Event is rain or shine; no refunds.
Your admission fee supports the educational mission of the Chester County History Center, and we thank you!
