Job Title: Property Care Manager Reports To: Director of Operations Status: Full-Time (Exempt) with Benefits. The Company is based in Oakland and provides property management services to owners and renters primarily in the East Bay area (Oakland, Berkeley, Emeryville, Richmond, San Leandro, Hayward, etc.) and San Francisco. The Company provides resources, training, and support to enable you to succeed as well as helping you with continuing education and general career development. As the Property Care Manager, you will be the team member to coordinate all of the daily work orders that come in and provide our in-house maintenance team with maintenance duties including preventative, emergency, cosmetic, routine maintenance, and regular inspections. The Property Care Manager is responsible for assigning, following up, coordinating, all work orders. This position is also responsible for all billing for the maintenance department, having a basic understanding of billing and accounting is a must for this position. Nature of work requires an emphasis on safe work practices, sustained physical effort, troubleshooting, problem-solving, attention to detail, customer service, and time management. Being a team player and helping out other departments is a must. You must be enthusiastic, positive, hard-working, and a cheerful problem solver. COMPENSATION: Salary pay $60,000-75,000/yr; Medical, Dental, Vision insurance for full time; Life Insurance; 401K with Company Match; QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS/COMPETENCIES: Have your own tools (basic hand/power tools); Ability to perform maintenance and repair building trades such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC system, appliance repair, painting, drywall, and/or plaster fire protection; Awareness of modern maintenance techniques; General understanding of the trades is a must for this position; Working knowledge/familiarity of building codes, laws, and regulations; Strong troubleshooting abilities; Availability for on-call maintenance for after hour/non-business hour emergencies is required; Ability to recognize safety hazards and take precautionary measures to protect self and others; Basic computer/smartphone skills; Working knowledge of OSHA regulations - the Company will provide training as needed; Good verbal and written communication skills; Strong customer service orientation; Must have reliable transportation (preferably a pick-up truck or similar vehicle capable of storing larger items) and a valid California driver's license with a good driving record.
