We are looking for a couple of workers to help with seasonal work and possibly stay on as a permanent employee on our 80 acre sculpture ranch located in Geyserville, CA. Candidates must have their own transportation to get to work, love being outdoors, show willingness to learn with strong work ethics. Knowledge of power tools is a plus, 40+hrs per week, must be able to communicate in English/Spanish. Job Responsibilities -Care for lawns and plants using a variety of tools, including rakes, saws, shovels, trimmers, axes and pruning saws, to ensure they remain aesthetically pleasing. -Mow the grass using edgers and mowers, keeping it at an optimal height. During fire season, we keep all grass low to help fire-proofing. Lots of grass cutting with a weed cutter. -Keep plants and flowers healthy by pruning and trimming trees and shrubs and weeding, mulching and aerating. -Plant new grass and foliage following planned designs to create the yard as prescribed by the client and/or landscape designer. -Be able to work with our current full-time groundskeepers and follow their lead -Fertilize the lawns and plants and apply any herbicides or pesticides to keep the foliage healthy and thriving. -Monitor the sprinkler system to ensure it regularly waters the lawns and reset it as necessary, as well as water by hand when needed to maintain the health of the plants. -Pick up and remove trash and debris from the property and dispose of it appropriately on a daily basis. -Carry out regular maintenance on structures, including carpentry and masonry work to repair damaged walls -Perform light excavation, using shovels, picks and other tools to dig trenches and level ground. -Keep flower beds and garden areas clean by picking up any dead branches and flowers as well as trimming or picking the plants as needed. -Assist in placing decorative rocks, stones, statues and other items around the lawn to facilitate the completion of the overall aesthetic look. -Assist with plumbing work Jobs Skills & Qualifications Required: -1+ years of experience as a landscaper, groundskeeper or similar occupation -Detail orientated -Valid driver’s license Preferred: Proficient in English Excellent verbal and communication skills
