The San Diego County Health and Human Services Agency reported 108 new cases of COVID-19 Sunday, and for the second day in a row, five deaths.
Out of 8,520 test results received in the past day, 1% returned positive. The 14-day rolling average of positive results remained at 1.6%.
Hospitalizations also remained at 130, as did the number of patients in intensive care, at 39.
County officials reported three new community outbreaks for a total of 10 in the past seven days linked to 35 cases.
The county also noted that more than 85% of its goal population – 2.1 million people – have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. A total of 1,343,639 county residents – 64% of the goal – are fully vaccinated.
Officials have nearly 400,000 doses on hand to administer.
There have been 279,098 cases of COVID-19 locally since the pandemic began and 3,742 deaths.
