CHATHAM BOROUGH, NJ — Chatham Borough's COVID-19 case numbers are going down. After identifying 536 infections from January to April, Chatham Borough has reported only six new cases from May 1 to Thursday. The progress comes as Morris County and the state continue seeing fewer new cases each day than prior months. The county reported only 62 new infections — four in Chatham Township — in the past week, while the state logged only 490 new cases Monday. Here are the vaccination numbers in the Chathams as of Monday afternoon, according to the New Jersey Department of Health: Chatham Township population with at least one dose: 65 percent of all ages, 84 percent of adults (18 and older) and 95 percent of seniors.Chatham Township population fully vaccinated: 56 percent of all ages, 73 percent of adults and 87 percent of seniors.Chatham Borough population with at least one dose: 65 percent of all ages, 93 percent of adults and 96 percent of seniors.Chatham Borough population fully vaccinated: 54 percent of all ages, 79 percent of adults and 90 percent of seniors.Thanks for reading.
