JOLIET, IL — Joliet's Rialto Square Theatre has remained off-limits to major concerts for the past 15 months because of the coronavirus pandemic, but that's about to change. The Rialto is now adding more national acts to its calendar and that included Monday morning's announcement that Postmodern Jukebox will be returning to Joliet for an 8 p.m. show on March 3, 2022, which is a Thursday. Tickets prices are $69.50, $59.50, $49.50 and $39.50 and additional ticket fees may apply when ordering online. The tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday. Monday's news release from the Rialo indicated that Scott Bradlee's Postmodern Jukebox is celebrating The Grand Reopening with a worldwide tour beginning in fall 2021. The pop-jazz phenomenon makes its long-awaited return to live performance with a celebration of the new Roaring 20s traveling across the U.S., Canada, U.K. and Europe. "Kicking off in September, The Grand Reopening Tour will bring PMJ back to thrill music-starved audiences in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia, New Zealand and Europe, performing some of modern music's biggest hits in the classic styles of bygone eras," the news release noted. "I'm grateful to be able to create and collaborate with so many talented people, and playing live to a theater full of music fans is something that we've all really missed," Bradlee said in Monday's announcement. "We're fortunate to have so many incredible fans worldwide that have enabled PMJ to become a global touring act, and we're looking forward to bringing outstanding talent and classic sounds to every corner of the globe once more. It's a Grand Reopening, but it's also a Grand Reunion – not just for our talented cast and crew, but also for PMJ and fans of classic, 'Old School' entertainment."
