CREST HILL, IL — Crest Hill Police Chief Ed Clark said that area police departments have been notified about Monday evening's shooting involving three cars that all fled the area after several gunshots were fired.
Clark said it's his understanding that nobody was shot during the gunfire exchange that happened around 5:15 p.m.
The shooting happened in the area of Bicentennial Avenue and Cedarwood Drive.
As of 9 p.m., Crest Hill police did not have any detailed description surrounding the shooting suspects, the chief said. Crest Hill police are still trying to determine whether people inside all three of the cars were firing guns.
Although Crest Hill blocked off some streets while the shooting was being investigated, all roads and streets have now been reopened, Clark told Joliet Patch.
