WOODBURY, MN— The city of Woodbury announced its partnership with Rainbow Treecare to give residents a discount for preventative treatment of trees for Emerald Ash Borer.
Untreated trees will likely need to be removed in the future due to EAB infestations, causing the tree to die, Rainbow Treecare said.
In order to qualify for treatment, an ash tree must be in good condition, show no more than 30 percent of canopy decline if infested, be at least 10 inches in diameter and not compete with other trees or infrastructure, the city said.
You can find more information about the treatment here.
