A local underground utility construction company called Communication Construction and Engineering is hiring for a Potholer position on our Directional Drill Crews. As a Potholer you will learn and complete: How to mobilize, run and maintain a vacuum excavation trailer Operating and maintaining demo saw, core drill, and generator How to determine when and where to pothole utilities How to measure and properly log discovered utilities Restoring potholes and surrounding areas Excavating for and placing handholes Understanding of utility construction regulations and requirements Reading survey stakes and survey marks How to properly read, set up, and coordinate traffic control plans As a Potholer you are responsible for: Proper disposal of spoilings and debris from jobsite Prepping vacuum excavation trailer and truck for next days work at the end of each day Maintaining cleanliness of vacuum excavation trailer and truck Ensuring minimum production levels Working with Crew Lead to determine daily work area Maintaining Jobsite Safety Crew wide tasks such as vehicle inventory, maintenance and cleanliness Maintaining a Class A CDL and a clean driving record As a Potholer you are a key part of the bore crew.
