Mooresville Commissioners To Hold In-Person Meeting Monday

MOORESVILLE, NC —The Mooresville Board of Commissioners' will meet in person Monday evening, and is set to discuss numerous items, voluntary annexation and utility extensions on Bluefield Road, as well as donations for the police department, the town's new dog park and a recreation center. The meeting, which will be simultaneously live-streamed, is scheduled for Monday, May 17 at 6 p.m. at The Charles Mack Citizen Center, located at 215 N. Main Street in Mooresville. "The public is invited to attend or view the live stream by visiting mooresvillenc.gov/live," the town said. "Please note if you plan to attend masks will be required and social distancing guidelines and CDC recommendations will be followed." According to the May 17 meeting agenda, commissioners will consider items including: accepting with appreciation a donation of $12,500 from Randy Marion Automotive Group for the Officer Jordan H. Sheldon Memorial Dog Park Accepting a $7,183 donation for historic preservation purposes Accepting a donated commercial-grade ping-pong table for the Winnie Hooper Center Accepting donations for the Mooresville Police Department, including a $500 donation to buy crime scene cameras Paging $345,276 for Year 2 MPD's five-year contract for in-car and body worn cameras Amending water and wastewater pricing schedules Voluntary annexation and utility extension for properties located on Bluefield Road.
