TUCSON, AZ — A 21-year-old man has been identified by police as the victim of a fatal crash between a sedan and motorcycle Friday night, Tucson police said.
Mahmoud Soufiani Morabet was killed after the black 2017 Kawasaki motorcycle he was riding was struck by a Chevrolet Malibu sedan just after 10 p.m. Friday, according to police.
The sedan struck Morabet's motorcycle as the car was making a left-hand turn from southbound Kino Parkway into a business complex in the 2900 block of Kino Parkway, police said.
The driver of the sedan remained on scene and was not impaired at the time of the crash, according to police.
Witness interviews and roadway evidence determined that the driver of the sedan's failure to yield while making a left-hand turn was a major factor in the crash, police said.
No one has been arrested as of Monday morning and no charges or citations have been issued, according to police.
