7 Baby Chicks—Dalmatian coloring (hatched here on farm) second week of May 2021 they are a cross of Polish Top Knot and Mystic Marans—so the hens will lay brown eggs. The babies are unsexed—I believe there are 4 hens and 3 roosters if I had to guess, but I am not certain. They are very small still. 2 Mystic Marans Hens (which are a cross of Black Copper Marans with Barred Rock; both are dark brown layers) these hens are matured, started laying at end of March 2021 (hatched in September 2020) both lay eggs every day during laying season. Pictured are the dark brown eggs laid by these hens, one lays solid brown and the other lays speckled brown eggs. 1 Polish Top Knot Rooster—He is between 2-3 years old, purchased from another farmer last year.
