The founding members of New England’s Progressive/Doom band Onera have started a new project named Vigil. We have four songs ready to record and already started preproduction. Bassist Justin Christian and Guitarist Craig Simas are joined by members from other great local bands on vocals and second bass. This new band mixes some of our favorite elements into one group. Doom, Thrash, Post Rock/Post Metal, Progressive, Death Metal. If you think you would like to be part of this then please contact us. We have a secure 24hr. monitored practice space in Kingston, NH. Drummer requirements: 1. Be familiar with doom and post rock. At least be aware of bands like Katatonia, My Dying Bride, Russian Circles, Mindrot. 2. Must have your own kit. 3. Must be able to play double bass proficiently and have groove sensibilities. Doom riffs at 50BPM up to double bass and blast beats at 180BPM and syncopated to the guitar. 4. Be comfortable with odd time changes. 5. Must be professional, reliable, mature and have transportation.
