Description
We need a full-time project manager to help us lead a property rehabilitation project. You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising this project, creating detailed inspection reports on the property and overseeing specialized contractors and other personnel. We are a tech-forward, remote-first firm that worked in distributed teams long before the pandemic made it cool. Responsibilities:
- Create an inspection report that includes photographs and detailed assessments on what needs to be done.
- Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and work timetables.
- Gather bids for different work orders,
- Interpret and explain contracts and technical information to other professionals.
- Manage the projects and meet deadlines.
- Communicate to the executive team.
- Document all work performed using our software tools on your mobile device and laptop.
- Select contractors and schedule and coordinate their activities.
- Coordinate and supervise arborists, roofers, HVAC, plumbing, electrical and other trades as well as general laborers.
- Respond to work delays, emergencies and other problems.
- Monitor progress and budget continuously, alerting the executive team to deviations from plan, as well as suggesting and implementing corrective measures to keep the project on course.
- Comply with legal requirements, building and safety regulations.
Desirable skills and experience include:
- Comfortable working with mobile technology for messaging, emails, and taking pictures of work. Enjoy documentation.
- Experience in construction management.
- Reliable.
