Through relationship, respect and therapy, we support families and children to reconnect, rediscover and heal. Full-time overnight Residential Monitors (Youth Counselors) needed for New Leaf Academy, a therapeutic boarding school primarily for females, transgender females and non-binary students ages 10-15. Typical diagnoses of students may include: Anxiety, depression, Mood Disorders, ADHD, trauma, grief and loss and attachment issues and students typically have difficulty regulating emotions and containing their behaviors. *We are offering a $750 bonus after 6 months of employment for overnight positions. Positions are full-time, year-round (including holidays) and starts at $16.25/hr for overnight positions. Opportunity for hourly wage increase of $0.75/hour with development and training within first year of employment. Great benefits package available after 60 days, generous PTO plan after 90 days. Our year-round program offers mental health treatment through individual, recreational, group and family therapy. We support the growth of our students not only through therapy but also through a challenging academic setting, structured residential environment and a variety of extra-curricular activities and experiential trips. Responsibilities include: *Overall supervision, safety, care and guidance of the students in the home. *Guide students through their daily living routines while helping them to develop self-care skills. *Build appropriate relationships with youth while maintaining healthy boundaries and implementing program rules and policies. *Participate in activities with students such as PE, arts & crafts, games, outdoor activities, etc *Participate in weekly All Staff and Treatment team meetings *Light cleaning and office duties during awake overnight shifts Qualifications: *Candidate must have experience working with youth and ability to hold consistent boundaries with youth. *Experience working with youth with emotional and behavioral issues or challenges preferred. *Excellent communication skills and ability to be a team player are required. *Computer and organizational skills *21 years of age or older *Candidate must possess a valid driver’s license and good driving record. *Ability to pass background check. *First Aid/CPR certified (or willingness to certify) *Food handlers card and willingness to cook are a bonus! Schedule: Wednesdays 9:45am-12pm or 11am-1pm (meetings) Thursdays 9:30pm - Fridays 8:45am (awake overnight) Fridays 10pm - Saturdays 10am (awake overnight) Saturdays 10pm - Sundays 10am (awake overnight) Hours/week: 37.5 If you are interested in human services, mental health or working with children and teens this is a great job to get your foot in the door.
