Well established natural stone and solid surface manufacturing company for commercial and residential construction seeks Warehouse Freight Staff. NOTE: MUST APPLY IN PERSON AT: American Marble 1280 N. Melrose Drive, Vista, CA 92083 Monday – Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm For any questions call (760)560-0550 JOB DUTIES INCLUDE: • Responsible for loading and unloading Granite, Stone and Quartz Slabs from trucks/containers - training will be provided. • Ensure that product is well secured on vehicle/truck and takes all necessary safety measures. • Verify quantity and quality of all incoming/outgoing orders. • Pull slabs from the warehouse from the slab orders provided. • Move slabs to loading areas by using overhead cranes. • Experience operating a forklift and manual pallet jack a plus but not necessary. MUST BE: • Able to FOLLOW THROUGH with INSTRUCTIONS given and work as a TEAM. • Willing to learn. • Able to work in a FAST PACE capacity and produce QUALITY work. • Committed to providing quality customer service. • RELIABLE and accountable. • Able to meet the PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Labor intensive including but not limited to: daily lifting up to 50 lbs., carrying and maneuvering of heavy and/or awkward sized material; walking; standing; bending; stooping; wearing all applicable safety gear; driving a company vehicle. • Able and willing to comply with all CDC and Company COVID-19 Safety Policies. • Communicate verbally and in writing in English language • Valid CA Driver’s License AND clean driving record A MUST • Be able to pass a criminal background check ABOUT THIS POSITION: • Full-time, non-exempt. • Monday through Friday. Shift START time usually begins at 5:00 am and END time at 1:30 pm. • Daily Overtime may be required when necessary. • Compensation depends upon qualifications (DOE). • Benefits offered when eligible: Health insurance (medical, dental, life insurance, holiday, sick, vacation and 401K. • Pre-employment physical required. • I-9 verification through E-Verify (Homeland Security / Social Security Administration) required.
