Must be able to operate a variety of light power-driven equipment when assigned. Essential Functions: Use of power and hand tools Knowledgeable and skilled in safe climbing techniques and tree pruning/removal. Basic care, operation and maintenance of a variety of mechanical equipment and power tools used in the area of work assigned (power mowers, chainsaws, pole pruners, blowers, weed eaters, chippers, other equipment and vehicles) Must be able to perform assigned duties such as: walking, standing, sitting or climbing for extended periods of time Must understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions Must work safely and efficiently with others Must follow all OSHA standards Perform other duties as assigned Job Skills/Requirements: Must have at least 2 years of experience in a tree trimming related position Experience in a related field preferred Operate small pieces of equipment (i.e. weed eater, blower, power hand tools, etc.) Knowledge of trees and proper pruning techniques Knowledge of safe climbing techniques and equipment Physical Demands/Working Conditions: Able to work safely at heights of 20-60 feet Able to lift 80 lbs. (Equipment, tools, and supplies may need to be lifted, carried and/or pushed) Able to walk/stand for long periods of time Able to reach, bend, twist, kneel, stoop, squat, crouch and grasp along with repetitive movements may part of daily job duties Contact with various plants, flowers and chemicals Must be able to work outside for extended periods of time We are an equal opportunity employer.
