Well-known Construction Design company in Simi-Valley is urgently seeking a Warehouse Forklift Operator (certified). The primary responsibilities of a Warehouse Forklift Operator are to provide assistance with warehouse operations which include safe loading and unloading of materials from incoming vehicles and stacking them to assigned places, coordinating and scheduling pick up, deliveries, and returns from various vendor locations. Responsibility for safety practices related to the unloading and loading of material, the safe operating condition of all vehicles and equipment, and ensures a safe working environment. Must be available to start immediately. Hours of operation M-F 6am-2:30pm. Would be loading carpet, tile and laminate. This is a temporary assignment lasting from 2-5 months. English speaking -Bilingual a plus RESPONSIBILITIES: • Minimum 3 years experience as a forklift operator with at least 1.5 years as certified • Prioritize daily pickups & deliveries based on production schedule and vendor locations • Unloading materials from incoming vehicles and stacking them to assigned places • Locating and moving stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment • Responsible to inspect the forklift before use each morning to make sure everything is in good operating condition. This includes inspecting the jib boom, clamp and clamp assembly. keep the forklift clean on a regular basis. • Identifying damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies • Verify all purchase orders, approvals, and order acknowledgements match for each job • Determine which jobs fit the timeline to allow for delivery or transfer and schedule with the appropriate vendor • Safe loading of material onto the truck and ensure load is evenly placed and secure • Verify purchase orders to product numbers, quantities, finish when receiving deliveries • Appropriately tag each slab with the proper job name and HW number • Responsible for performing monthly inventory and recording work in progress COMPETENCIES, SKILLS AND ABILITIES • Must be forklift experienced and certified with valid certification • Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment • Excellent physical condition and coordination • Ability to work with moderate supervision • Ability to do mathematical calculations, estimate quantities, and the ability to determine time needed to perform a work activity to a timely completion • Ability to communicate effectively and in an appropriate manner in writing and verbally.
