I think you missed the point of the OP. A. Sorting plastic is expensive and time consuming. One or two types of plastics would minimize or eliminate sorting. B. Most types of plastics being used never get recycled. There is no demand for plastics numbered 3 thru 7. Those go to landfill or get shipped to Asia to be burned. One more note, the majority of plastic waste in the U.S. went to China to be processed. Trumps trade “negotiations” with China lead to them rejecting our plastic. They will not process it anymore. We do not have enough facilities to process plastic waste. Reduce - reuse - recycle.
