; Meeting ID: 879 9597 6498.
There's been an upsurge in labor organizing in the United States. What's going on nationally and locally?
Why should we care? How does labor organizing relate to other issues we care about? For example:
What are the implications of the Pro Act & the American Jobs Act for home health workers and for aging in place?
And what can the SF Gray Panthers do to support SF and US labor organizing?
Speakers:
Fred Glass (who taught history at CCSF & is a former communications director of CFT): national trends in labor organizing and the PRO Act.
Max Turner (is the Co-chair of DSA-SF's Labor Organizing Committee & a higher education worker): labor organizing going on right now in San Francisco.
Alice Rogoff (an author and member of the Pacific Media Workers Freelance Unit of the Communications Workers of America): labor poetry
