Found Dog

Description

Found a dog outside Reverie Coffee near Douglas and Spruce, May 17. Male, not fixed, looks like a Mini Pinscher, about 18-20lbs. Dark chocolate brown with light tan markings. Very friendly and good natured, energetic, got along fine with my small dog. I would have assumed he was near home but he followed me and my dog a long way and also was running into busy streets, so I leashed him. He has a collar with just a number, called and texted but no response yet. I am just passing through Wichita, staying at a friend's, and will need to drop him at a humane society if I don't hear from his owner somehow. Update: I took the dog to Lifeline Animal Placement (no-kill shelter) after calling around a bit. They said they will continue to try the contact on the tag, check for a microchip, and that if they cannot find the owner they are confident he will find a new home soon. He was a super-friendly dog, pretty athletic, maybe in the 2-4 year range, not nervous with strangers petting him/picking him up, and played really well with my small dog, so I'm hopeful for him.
