Lead Maintenance Technician Homeowners Association in Bolingbrook Illinois consisting of 672 homes is looking for a hardworking, cooperative, dedicated, and dependable full time Lead Maintenance Technician for the maintenance department. This hourly position requires a minimum of 40 hours per week (Monday through Friday), being on call 24/7 for association related emergencies. Candidates must have prior maintenance or related experience, excellent interpersonal skills, and an attention to detail. The maintenance department consists of a Lead Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Technician, and a Maintenance Assistant who report directly to the Community Association Manager. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Work with Maintenance Technician and Maintenance Assistant maintaining the overall cleanliness of the community. Prior experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, concrete, roofing, siding & painting is involved. Additionally, prior snow removal experience, and have the ability operate a truck mounted snowplow is required. Applicant needs to cross train and mentor Maintenance Technician and Maintenance Assistant to enhance their skills on all general property work as noted above. Facilitate the distribution and completion of all work orders daily noting the progress of all work for office follow up. Candidate must agree to be on call in inclement weather for snow removal. Since this is an hourly position, overtime is available for any additional hours worked over 40 hours per week. Other duties as instructed by the Management Office. Compensation: The Lead Maintenance Technician starts at $20.00 per hour ($41,600/annually) which can be reviewed after ninety (90) days for potential increase based on performance, knowledge, and skills demonstrated. Winston Village Association contributes $200.00 per month towards health-related benefits either through the open insurance marketplace or the association sponsored supplemental insurance plan ($2,400/Annually). A $150.00 work boot allowance is provided after ninety (90) days of employment and provided annually (1X Per Year). Paid vacation is accrued after completion of one (1) year of service. Sick time is accrued at a rate of ½ day per month of employment up to a maximum of five (5) days per calendar year. Employee is eligible for sick time accrual after the completion of the first ninety (90) days of service/probationary period. Requirements: • Background check and drug test- At the associations expense applicant must agree to have this done by the association, prior to being offered a position. • Driver’s License- applicants must have a valid Illinois driver’s license in good standing to operate association trucks. • Potential candidate must complete a Covid test, at the associations expense with a negative result after being offered the position prior to 1st day of employment. • Employment References- work experience will be verified.
