1yr old lab mix small for rehome

We are rehoming our mother’s lab mix. She is needing more medical care and we cannot care for him. He is 1 1/2 years old, neutered, updated on all medical shots as well as chipped which we can transfer. He is house broken and loves to sit and lay on you. He’s about 41lbs his last vet visit and is a great guard dog. He does well with cats and other dogs in the house, and even with kids, toddlers and up. He does like to stare out the window and bark at random things on the street. We think he may be mixed with basset hound or some other hunting dog because he does like to let other dogs know he’s there but he then turns into a baby. We are looking for a good home for him, rehoming fee to ensure that.
