Description

A 2-hour workshop in clay- handbuilding propagation vessels to house plant cuttings. Partner with @Dragonfly Creative Spaces @Green_Spaces1 "When we tell our own stories, it shapes who we are, how we grow, survive and blossom" Participants will make stoneware vessels containing handwritten messages addressing things they might wish to let go of. In the process of bisque firing, these messages will burn away, leaving them with personalized vessels that will be filled with plant cuttings, held in test tubes until they take root. The outcome of the workshops will be symbolic in helping participants root new intentions, reinforcing the idea that home is a place that is first, within. To Bring: An intention and a folded note of what you wish to let go of and/or a precious object to use for embossing Provided: Clay, tools, test tube with cuttings and instruction. Cuttings donated by @green_spaces1 Prior experience in clay not required | Masks required | Social distancing and covid protocol followed | Outdoor and on patio (weather permitting)| Kids welcome Price: Sliding scale (Recommended donation $45) venmo / paypal / quickpay: [email protected]
