Event by Serene Abundance Studio Saturday, June 12, 10am-4pm Sunday, June 13, 10am-2pm SASS is excited to host Oregon City mosaic artist, Anna Meyrick for a 2-day Expressive Arts Mosaic Workshop! Held over from 2020, we are now able to offer the space layout, resources and know-how to make this popular event safer and socially-distanced! During the class, Anna will show you -A little about the history and basic principles of mosaic arts -ways to convert your ideas into a creative design -how to build your own mosaic piece on a wood panel backing -how to grout and seal your piece to make it long-lasting Each participant will take home one 12 x 12" mosaic panel, glued and ready for grouting. You may want to bring a sketchbook or journal, and some images to help with creating your design. $185 workshop fee includes all instruction, supplies and tools. Registration and payment in full by June 1st is required to hold your spot. You may pay through Paypal, by phone, or personal check. ABOUT THE ARTIST: Anna Meyrick grew up in Oregon, and the beauty of the natural landscape, as well as mythology, dreams, and symbols inform her creative pieces. She has been making mosaics and teaching for many years in the Portland Metro area. ABOUT THE STUDIO: Serene Abundance Studio is a creative space focused on the arts as a force for healing, inspiration and personal development. Located on the Central Oregon Coast, the Studio is home to a consignment art gallery, small group workshop/class/event space, rentable and/or drop-in art studio and media/VR room space, and professional Art Therapy services. The Studio is part of the Florence 2nd Saturday Gallery Tour, and a participating member of Lane Arts Council Community Convenings.
