Description

Rehoming a German Shepherd mix. He’s a year and a half hold. Medium size weighing about 40 lbs. *The Great-he’s loyal, playful, loving, and calm. He’s housebroken so long as he doesn’t go in my son’s room or where the cat uses the litter. He will poop in those two spots so we keep those areas closed off. He goes out for a 20 minute walk three times a day. He comes with his crate, bed, toys, leash, harness, and dry dog food. He does get along with the cat. He has a Seresto flee and tick collar good October 10th. **The Not So Great-he hates the car and baths. I have to carry him to either spot. He’s timid around new people. He’s okay with some dogs, but not all. He’s not neutered and is due for shots. He tolerates my son but is extremely jealous (hence the pooping in his room). He does awesome with my teenager. He should really go to an adult or older kids home. While he eats some dry food he mainly eats what I cook for him (chicken, rice, and green beans). He does not like smokers. I took this dog while on vacation in Virginia from a flea market when he was about eight months old. He was skinny, filthy, covered in fleas, and all hunkered down as the man selling him yelled at him. It was an impulsive move but he was so pitiful. He had his first vaccinations and the booster at Tractor Supply before we came home last August. He is not a fan of children, the smaller they are the worse it is. I was hoping he would get over this with some TLC but he has not. However he has never bitten or snapped at anyone. The only reason I am rehoming this dog is because of his dislike of children. I don’t want to take the chance of something happening. He is not food or toy aggressive. If I can bring myself to let him go the rehoming fee will be $100.
