Description
I'm a cat rescuer. Nearly all of the cats I rescue are adopted into homes. However, I occasionally get cats (usually feral) who are not well-suited for life as a house cat, but who still need homes. Such cats usually make excellent barn cats. At the time of placement, they will have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and tested for FIV and FeLV.
What's in it for the barn-owner: Rodent control by natural predators-- something virtually all barns need
What's in it for the cats: A safe, sheltered environment with a food source and all the rodents they can hunt
What's in it for me: I love animals. If you help me help them by giving a home to a cat who would not otherwise have had one, that's enough for me.
If you need advice about introducing a cat to a barn environment, I can provide that.
Please respond with a little about your barn, including where it is. Include your phone number and the best time(s) to reach you for a faster response.
