Learn to draw plants. Create your own art.
At 10:00 am on 6/12, Dianne Henrikson art teacher for 14 years, former art department head at Troy Buchanan High School, and professionally selling/commissioned artist will teach an exclusive 10 person, 90 minute drawing class.
What you’ll learn:
Shading techniques, blending techniques, highlights, realistic plant rendering, basics on stems, leaves, and petals.
What you’ll get:
As a result of this plant portraiture class, you will create a realistic rendering of a plant of your choice in the French botanist style of the late 1700’s - early 1800’s. High quality 8”x10” artist paper and a set of 24 soft core colored pencils (yours to take home) are included. Dianne will create a calligraphy inscription of your plant’s botanical name on your drawing for a finished look. Take home and frame!
Other notes:
-You can use a plant from Sugar Grove Growers’ collection at the shop, bring one from home, or bring in a printed out photo of a plant/flower you would like to render.
-Adults and children welcome. Class is best for ages 12 and up.
-Class is outside under shade. Dress for the weather.
*** Class must have a minimum 5 attendees. We will notify you if class does not meet minimum enrollment and process a full refund.***
