What’s the difference between luck and ignorance?

Hello El Paso! I’m really interested in another perspective of the difference between luck and ignorance. I’m currently researching the topic and would love to know your views on the subject. My perception of luck ends at gambling, the lottery or finding items of value. But recently had a conversation with someone who believed that luck could be applied to more than just a game of chance or finding a precious item someone lost. Please enlighten me on the subject if possible. There are no wrong answers, I’m simply trying to develop a better understanding of how luck can be attributed to things other than gambling, finding random things, etc. Thank you in advance!
