The Autism Acceptance Day Resource Fair is the place to be to connect with the autism community! Families NEED resources now! They need you Autism Acceptance Day at the Philadelphia Zoo Resource Fair Sunday, July 11 10am-4pm Autism Acceptance Day at the Philadelphia Zoo Resource Fair is a day to connect with the Autism Community. It is open to the general public and draws thousands of attendees from all over the tri-state area. The event is held at the Philadelphia Zoo Peacock Pavilion. The Resource Fair is staged mainly outside of the large Peacock Pavilion. Most tables are tented. This is an excellent opportunity for organizations to network with those on the autism spectrum, their families and friends as well as other professionals in the autism field. It is a day of sharing resources. It is also a fun filled event with Music, Jugglers, Magic and more staged in the Peacock Pavilion. Add to that Sensory Stations, Crafts tables, Free Give Aways, Fun Mascot and Kid Characters, Princesses, Raffles, Quiet Areas, Special Guests and much more, all nestled within the amazing Philadelphia Zoo! The low admission price for families includes all these activities, the Autism Resource Fair and admission to the Philadelphia Zoo. There will be hand sanitizing stations and social distancing of event areas. The event will observe the Philadelphia guidelines for covid protocols. Resource Fair Table Details! All tables have a canopy. If it is windy, you may want to bring weights or rubber bands to secure your materials. 2) What time should I arrive? Arrive at 9:00 to allow time to set up. All vendors should be set up by 10AM and stay until at least until 3:30PM. 3) Where do I park? How do I get in? Vendors can enter through Zoo Service Gate H at no charge. Vendors must provide the names of those who will be staffing the table(3 max). Anyone entering through Gate H must be on the approved list at the Gate H. Vendors will be given wristbands when they arrive at Gate H. Vendors must be at least 16 years old to enter through Gate H. 4) How do I get to the Zoo? Click here for Directions. They can be found on the Zoo Website http://www.philadelphiazoo.org/Visit/Directions-Transportation.htm 5) Can I bring my children? Of course, children love the zoo, and this promises to be a great day! Be aware that no children under the age of 16 can enter through Gate H. Zoo admission for Autism Awareness Day is $14.95 We do not offer child care at this event, so be sure your child is under your supervision at all times. 6) Can I sell books or other items? Zoo policy prohibits vendors from selling merchandise of any kind. 7) Do I need to bring a table and chairs? No, the sponsorship includes a 6' table and two chairs. 8) Will I have access to electricity? Please indicate on your ticket if you need an electrical outlet. Your table will be inside the Peacock Pavilion. If you plan to use an outlet, please bring an extension cord. 9) Can we give away promo items? Sure!!! But, for the safety of the animals, balloons, straws, glass bottles or containers or any objects intended for throwing (such as balls, Frisbees, paddleballs, confetti, rice and silly string) is prohibited. Other examples of unacceptable items are: glow sticks and necklaces, flashlights, pom-poms, and noisemakers.
