Join Our Team! A Girl and Your Dog is a thriving and established dog walking company serving San Francisco's Dogpatch and Potrero Hill neighborhoods. We are a very close-knit and wonderful team of dog walkers with our own private ranch property where we walk the dogs. This job is full time, requires some weekends and holidays, comes with health benefits and pays a living wage for San Francisco. We provide the vehicle and gas for all our doggy transports. Additionally, our company is a certified, city approved training school and can provide official dog walking certification upon completion of our training program (a value of over $600). We are an old school, service based business. We all like each other and have lots of integrity and loyalty. If you have experience working with dogs as a walker, trainer, vet tech, kennel assistant or related field and would like to learn more about dog behavior and reward based training in a stable job environment, come join our creative team with 20 years in the business. Please be aware that this position is hands-on, physically demanding, and a whirlwind of thinking on your feet. You cuddle dogs and take care of business at the same time! Our ideal future team member is: Someone who LOVES dogs and has professional experience working with them. Must be a person of integrity: reliable, loyal, of calm demeanor but energetic, positive, organized and extremely prompt. Must be able to thrive in a sometimes chaotic, unpredictable work environment and remain calm during crisis. Licensed to drive in CA and have a clean driving record. Must own a smartphone with access to email and text messaging. (iPhone preferred) Must be able to work 1 to 2 weekend days per month. (We pay time and a half!) Must be legal to work in US, have clean record, and should be at least 21 years of age. Must live in San Francisco Must be athletic and strong enough to carry 50lbs (average weight of dogs) in case of an emergency. Must enjoy interacting with people and have a sense of humor. We are an interesting team and find inspiration in each others' strengths. Compensation: Starting at $17 an hour. Employees are eligible for paid time off and health insurance after 90 days. Dog walking certification available upon completion of our training program (40 hours). This is a full-time position with possible flexibility in distribution of hours (there are 7 days in the week and no one needs to work all of them). Qualified and interested?
