Married Couple Arrested On Suspicion Of Snatching Mail In Arcadia

ARCADIA, CA — A married couple was arrested Sunday on suspicion of mail and identity theft for allegedly snatching several pieces of mail from an Arcadia residential neighborhood. Officers dispatched a little after midnight to the 200 block of Arbolada Drive on a report of a mail theft in progress located a suspicious vehicle driving away, the Arcadia Police Department reported. "A traffic stop was conducted and the two occupants, husband and wife were detained," police said. "The investigation revealed the couple were in possession of several pieces of mail belonging to residents from the city of Arcadia." The couple also allegedly had identification cards, bank account numbers and bank checks, which police said were used to facilitate crimes related to identity theft. They were arrested and taken to the Arcadia Police Department, where they were booked on suspicion of mail theft and identity theft. —City News Service
