2020 was a year of missed connections

Although technically not a missed connection, I thought I would post this here. To make this official I'll say that I was the guy driving a commercial truck on Broadway while rocking out to the Rocky Horror Picture Show soundtrack. I do that all the time. You've probably seen me. I get paid to do that so, by definition, I'm a professional... Thrill me, chill me, fulfill me... Anyway, I feel that 2020 was one huge missed connection and 2021 is looking to be about the same. All I do is work. I've decided that maybe it's time to branch out and meet some new people. I've received my first dose of the vaccine and l'm looking for someone in a similar mindset. Lately I've been hiking and cycling around. I put on some weight during the election and the months that followed. I've been trying to get rid of it. Maybe somebody out there enjoys those activities too? I should add that I'm in reasonably good shape. Carrying thirty pounds of gear on a ten mile hike isn't going to phase me. Besides hiking and cycling I spend a lot of time thinking about books, bookcases and bookstores. Audiobooks too. I like books. I don't watch TV except for the odd documentary. I've proudly only seen one episode of Game of Thrones that a friend made me watch. I'm a big music fan and I'm hoping that the symphony will play a couple of times during the summer. Modern pop music confuses me. I'm 46, 5'6" have all my hair and teeth and I'd like to think I have good grooming habits. The bar for that is kinda low around here, alas. I'm a male looking for a female within about five years of my age. I live a fairly drama free life. No kids. Never married. A bit of drifter that's starting to settle down. I live a quiet life. I chopped and stacked a cord of wood today which, probably says more about me than anything else in this post. Well, that's about all. Feel free to write if you're looking for an activity partner. We could go hiking, cycling or just grab a cup of coffee and talk about books, bookcases and bookstores. I'm not including a pic because I work in this town. So, in fairness, you don't need to include a pic if you choose to respond. It will take more than one paragraph to grab my attention. I like to read.
