DePaul dropped the first game 8-1 to Butler University. The Blue Demons scored first, thanks to a Jessica Cothern solo homer in the first, but it was all Butler after that. Krista Dalgarn came in to relieve, but gave up six more runs. It didn't matter much though, as DePaul only managed four hits in the game. The second game did not go any better for DePaul, resulting in a 9-1 loss to Villanova. DePaul managed only five hits in this game. After Villanova scored one in the first, DePaul tied it in the bottom of the inning. Brooke Johnson walked with the bases loaded for what would be the only run of the game for DePaul. Dalgarn started and gave up nine runs, although only two were earned, on nine hits with five walks and five strike outs. Julyana Gomez came in to get the final out.
