Pro Guitarist for Black Sabbath Tribute Band

Meets

Baltimore MD

Description

The world’s soon-to-be premier Black Sabbath tribute band is in need of a skillful pro level guitarist with great chops and musicality, able to play like the albums and improvise extended live solos, and who can emulate the tone, style, and technique of the one and only riff master Tony Iommi. AND you must be willing and able to look and act the part on stage. Prefer an agile player with tasteful fretwork and experience in a diverse array of styles from heavy metal to electric jazz. AND at least for the time being, must be willing and able to travel (or relocate) to Maryland for rehearsals initially while we get this together. We have a singer who is without compare the most authentic ozzy impersonator. This cant be overstated. When people hear his voice, they think he IS Ozzy. He even acts and moves like Ozzy. This - when coupled with the right players - WILL get noticed quickly. As to those players...we have a drummer who alternately pounds the living s*%# out of his kit and brings the jazxy subtleties, rhythmic finesse, and improvisational dynamics of Bill Ward. And a bass player who embodies the drive, passion snd spirited thump of Geezer Butler. All we need is the right guitarist. Our goal is to learn and rehearse a 100-minute show and then introduce ourselves to the world through targeted video production/ placement, live streaming concerts, and selective high dollar live shows. Black Sabbath is now retired. When people see and hear this act, they will know it is the ultimate Sabbath tribute. Singer performed extensively for decades in a major tribute act. We are seasoned musicians in our 50s to 60s and prefer similar vintage person for this act. You dont need to look like they did in the 70s or 80s. Instead, be capable of getting into the character of the post-reunion Black Sabbath - as if they are still touring. This is a PART-TIME gig. Once launched to the public, it will require occasional travel, initially on the mid-atlantic to east coast and, if successful (with any luck) nationally and internationally perhaps. We anticipate once weekly or biweekly rehearsals for approximately3 to 4 months before going public with live shows. Then 2x per month live shows at venues or by live streaming from a professional studio. And if it takes off, we all decide how to proceed from there. If you are interested, send a brief musical bio/ resume, audio or video samples of uiur playing and performance, and why you ate interested in this gig. This is not a joke; we are dead serious. We are convinced it can be a hit. And we have reason to believe the ideal guitarist is in the Jacksonville area.
