I am Looking for a bright high school student or young person who would like to learn the trades of a handyman (Plumbing / electrical / carpentry / concrete work / etc.) by helping me renovate my property in Sunnyslope. Unpaid opportunity to get hands-on learning experience. Could be worth a lot if you are a fast learner. I am a retired 73 year old engineer with lots of handyman experience. I bought my house on Dunlap Ave 40 years ago and I am now adding on and renovating. This is my retirement project because I like planning the upgrades and the sense of accomplishment seeing things come together. It would be nice to have someone to teach the building trades to, and who can help out with the work and some heavy lifting (80# max). I usually only work a few hours in the early morning before it gets too hot, but for an ambitious apprentice that wanted to work more hours, I'm usually home all day. If you are under 21, you would need your parent or Guardian to sign off. Please get your Covid vaccinations before applying and no drugs or alcohol. Good opportunity to learn handyman skills that will help you the rest of your life, and maybe build a business or career out of it.
