Caring Transitions of Mechanicsburg is currently seeking applicants for the position of part-time Move Manager with a Business Development component. The Move Manager will manage the move team and oversee and assist in the move coordination of clients who are downsizing to smaller homes. Tasks will include packing, coordination with moving companies, space planning, and unpacking and resettling. This manager is also responsible for transporting materials to and from job sites. The move team is also responsible for assisting with house cleanouts by helping to fill trash bags and throw into dumpsters, etc. The Move Manager will have the opportunity to work on the beautiful campuses of local senior living communities. As a Business Development Representative this candidate will assist the owner in maintaining relationships with these partners while also building relationships with others. This will include attending networking events, delivering occasional gifts or brochures, etc. The Move Manager will also be cross trained to occasionally work with or manage estate sales and online auctions. This involves sorting and organizing, taking pictures, writing descriptions, and overseeing auction pickup days or estate sales. The ideal candidate for this role will be extremely caring and compassionate toward seniors, respectful of their homes and possessions, and attentive to their needs. Must have a pleasant personality and great leadership and organizational skills, and be willing to learn and grow. Must be able to work with speed and accuracy, sometimes in dirty or dusty environments, and be able to lift boxes and other small items, stacks of boxes, etc. Must travel to various locations in Mechanicsburg and the surrounding area. Previous work in a role of service is preferred. Supervisory experience is a plus. Applicant must be a high school graduate, have an insured vehicle capable of transporting materials and valid driver’s license, cell phone with texting capability, computer skills and access to email. No minimum number of hours is guaranteed. Work takes place Monday - Friday, days, and some Saturdays, and may come up suddenly, requiring flexibility. Salary is $15 per hour.
