I’m Doug, I have End-Stage Liver Disease (ESLD). I need a Live liver transplant. Based on my current condition my 1-year survival expectancy is very low. The liver is unlike any other organ. It grows back. Therefore a “Live” liver transplant is feasible. The donor and recipient will both have complete healthy livers in a few months after the transplant. The donor will need to be between age 18 and 60. My blood type is O+ (The most common type). (I’m not sure if the “+” part is important.). The process to help me begins with an online pre-donation evaluation facilitated by a transplant coordinator. I’m not provided any information regarding the pre-donation evaluation.
