"Looking for A Working Band"????

Description

So fellow Craigslist musicians; many of our fellow musicians place ads stating that they are looking for a "working band". Especially drummers. Reality doesn't seem to be a consideration to them. Sometimes you have to take the time to meet, learn material, and become part of a band in order to get "WORK". Any drummer can just sit down play a standard 4/4 beat 95% of the time and they are done. They don't have to learn chords, nor lyrics, nor choose the right keys to fit the vocalists range. As a member of a band, presently looking for a drummer, I avoid such ads, since we don't have any gigs at the time, while we look for a drummer. CATCH 22? Although my primary instrument is guitar, I am also a drummer and would be very happy joining a band, WORKING OR NOT, that plays music I like. It would be so EASY for me just to bring my double bass set, sit down and keep a beat, not caring about the afore mentioned issues the stringed instrument players have to deal with. So to all of you who will only consider a "working band" I truly wish you all the very best and tremendous success. Sincerely!
