Well, the facts are as to employment, anyway, that California has an unemployment rate of 8.5% as of February and Florida is at around 3.1%. So, you can prop up Newsome all you want. You probably weren't affected, but millions of Californians were...and are. I do not hate Newsome. I think he's not the brightest bulb to sit in the governor's chair, though.
The factor that the OP is failing to see is- Californias economy THRIVED during covid. Yes some businesses failed but these are most likely businesses that would have failed despite covid. Overall, CA economy BOOMED during Covid.
Floridas economy is in the toilet. They will likely suffer for many more months to recover.
So what is it exactly that you hate Newsom for? Are you upset that California suffered fiscal prosperity while no other state did?
