This is Rosco. He's a Male Blue Heeler, Very Friendly, loves to be petted and being around people. He's healthy but a bit overweight, has been neutered. He likes being outside, he's used to staying in a dog house but is often sitting on our front porch. He doesn't like going into a house, but we have gotten him used to going in our pole barn or in a storage shed, as we put him inside during bad weather / bad storms. If someone wanted him to get used to coming inside their home or other, using some dog treats will coax him in, as he loves his dog biscuits :-) Once he knows he's allowed to be inside somewhere, he gets comfortable with doing so. He may not be too good with other animals, such as goats or chickens. We have chickens and can't have him loose at the same time they are out, as they currently run around our yard when out of their chicken coup, or he may try to run or bark at them. We had a goat and he would bark at him sometimes. But if he is worked with he may get used to other animals, as Blue Heelers are actually ACD's (Australian Cattle Dogs) He would make a great family pet as he is very friendly and sweet. And will often follow you around outside when working or etc. Likes to sit on the front porch in the shade on warm days if no one is outside. Doesn't mind being on a leash and walked. His winter coat has mostly shed now since the weather has been warming up, he sheds similar to a sheep in large clumps, rather than like most dogs. Doesn't really go out of our large yard. If we can't find him a home soon, we will unfortunately have to take him to a shelter.
