Description
I saw an ad for a 1.5 yr old rottweiler in CA (attached). The ad said they got it to be a breeder dog and just left it outside all the time but the neighbors kept calling animal control. Im a huge rottweiler lover so it broke my heart to hear that, so to my husbands dismay, I drove several hours and paid their ridiculous rehome fee to help get her in a better situation and not be "just a breeder dog." I was told she has been around cats, dogs, and kids and lived with a chihuahua and that she had not been breed.
She has been with us for less then a week so far but here are my observations. I had her treated for fleas. She has only barked when playing. She sleeps in the crate without issue all night. She will climb on your lap and give you full body hugs or lay across your lap! She's desperate for love and lives for the ball and seems to be a quick learner. She's a petite rottie. She still mouths like a puppy and will need house etiquette since she's used to being outside. Her energy level seems moderate. She seems well behaved outside (no digging, climbing, trying to escape, or chewing our outdoor furniture). She's only good with our small mostly blind and deaf dog 1/2 the time, so I would say no little dogs, despite being told she lived with a chihuahua. She plays well with our big dog and really enjoys playing. I have a 4 year old son and bc she still acts like a puppy, but is not puppy size, Id suggest older children. She is not fixed (they suggest waiting until 2 to fix rotties bc their bones are still growing). I was told her birthday is December 1st!
If you think she would make a good addition to your home, let me know. Small rehoming fee applies. She must go to a loving home bc she had an unfair first 1.5 years and she's a sweetheart. Rotties love to be close to their family's and are extreamly loyal, smart and loving. She is now safe in Reno and ready for a permanent loving home!
